Highgate to Manage New Hotel; Hotel Equities Adds Four Hotels; More…

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business has been rounding up management news. Highgate, Hotel Equities and Dalata Hotel Group have made moves.

Sandestin Investments Taps Highgate to Manage New Hotel
Sandestin Investments has selected Highgate to manage the newly developed Sandestin Hotel and Conference Center, a 250-room full-service hotel and conference center located adjacent to the Baytowne Conference Center at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. This four-star hotel is the first new development within Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in more than four years. Construction will commence in August with completion projected for April 2020.

Hotel Equities Adds Four Hotels in Lone Star State
Atlanta-based Hotel Equities has added four new-build hotels in Texas: a Tru by Hilton in Cypress; the extended-stay Home2 Suites by Hilton in Richmond; the Holiday Inn Express in Katy; and the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Spring. The hotels are owned and being developed by Noble Merchant Properties, which is based in Sugarland, TX.

Dalata Hotel Group to Lease Two New Hotels in U.K.
Dalata Hotel Group has signed agreements to lease two new hotels to be built in the United Kingdom, which will deliver an estimated 580 new bedrooms to the group’s hotel portfolio. A new Clayton Hotel is planned for Bristol, to be developed by Artisan Real Estate Investors Limited, and a new Maldron Hotel is planned for Birmingham, to be developed by McAleer & Rushe. Dalata now has more than 1,700 rooms in its U.K. development pipeline on top of the 1,968 rooms that it already owns or leases.
