NEW YORK— A majority of attendees participating in this weeks NYU Hospitality Industry Investment Conference here indicated that they expect the current hotel expansion to last two more years. Of the 170 respondents, 54% said the resurgence in occupancy and revenues would last until 2007. By contrast, 22% said the rebound had sufficient momentum to last until 2008. On the other hand, a slightly larger number, 24%, were not confident the recovery would last beyond 2006. NYU Tisch Center dean Dr. Lalia Rach summed up the mood of attendees overall as “positive and confident” going forward.
