CHARLOTTE, NC— Here at the 2007 Asian American Hotel Owners Association Annual Convention & Trade Show at the Charlotte Convention Center, Kaba Lodging Systems has unveiled what it calls its new “dream team” of access control. The dream team consists of the new 770 Electronic Lock and the Next Generation Front Desk Unit. Together they are designed to provide guest security and staff efficiency while enhancing a hotel’s décor. The 770 Electronic Lock promises reliable engineering with stylish design. It also features a key override. Meanwhile, the Next Generation Front Desk Unit is designed to provide access management functions in one easy-to-operate device. It can encode keycards, store audit data, program locks and maintain locks. Its USB ports also allow it to communicate with other systems, such as printers and computers. The USB ports also allow for immediate on-site upgrades and configuration changes. A serial port is also found on the unit for property management interfacing.
