LOS ANGELES—Keypr has been selected by Proper Hospitality as its exclusive technology partner for on-demand guest services and management. Its solution is already deployed at the Avalon Hotels in Beverly Hills and Palm Springs, CA, and will be rolled out when the company begins opening their eponymously named hotels and residences in California cities such as Hollywood, San Francisco, Downtown L.A. and Austin, TX.
Nizar Allibhoy, CEO of Keypr, explained that the company was first introduced to Proper Hospitality by its investors during its nascent days. “After explaining our value proposition, it was clear that we had a system they wanted—a system that tied together the guest facing experience, both on and off the premises, with an integrated back-of-the-house operations platform,” he said. “Ultimately, it’s the seamless integration across the guest/staff boundary that makes it all work.”
The solution offers many features for guests: mobile check-in and checkout, the ability to order and schedule services via in-room tablets, and customized promotions from the hotel. Proper’s management and staff are also able to access important guest data, preferences and marketing information via a customizable web-based dashboard.
“Our solution creates a real-time link between guests and staff. This link not only improves efficiency, it creates accountability and creates new revenue streams,” said Allibhoy. “The link creates a digital timeline between request and fulfillment. All points of the process are in full view for management to assess. Organizational strengths are revealed along with weaknesses. Keypr is about leaning into proactivity. We empower staff to stay in front of any negative TripAdvisor ratings and leverage guest preferences into targeted personalized service opportunities.”
In addition to guest engagement, said Allibhoy, the solution reduces costs and increases revenue. “The ability to offer personalized services is the main revenue driver,” he explained. “Every transaction is informed by guest preference and creates an additional revenue stream with in-house promotions and advertising. The operational benefit is better service and tangible cost reduction. Mobile check-in, check out as well as utilization of in-room tablet by guests reduces strain on staff. Keyless entry reduces material costs as does the elimination of all printed material, from reservation confirmations to billing summaries and, with our in-room tablets, newspaper delivery.”
Brian De Lowe, president of Proper Hospitality, stated, “We are striving to create unique, highly personalized and curated experiences for each guest. Keypr is here as the crucial component in that delivery chain. Since launching at the Avalon hotels, we are already seeing 90% guest engagement and unparalleled insight into guest requests and staff performance across all areas of operations. We look forward to expanding the range of concierge services enabled by Keypr that will delight our guests, across our entire portfolio.”
