MEMPHIS— Six Hampton hotels opened in May, representing 434 new rooms, and includes the third “small town” Hampton Inn prototype to open in Utah since the new design was introduced in 2003 for tertiary markets. The openings consist of five Hampton Inn hotels and one Hampton Inn & Suites hotel. “Our small town prototype continues to enjoy high developer interest, especially out west,” said Phil Cordell, svp/Hampton brand management. “New hotels are opening now with the new ‘Make it Hampton’ brand enhancements of hot breakfast and high-speed Internet access in every room and other new services….” The properties include Hampton Inns in: Auburn, MA (82 rooms); Hinesville, GA (60 rooms); St. Louis-Airport, MO (99 rooms); Logan, UT (58 rooms); Corpus Christi-Northwest/I-37, TX (55 rooms); and a Hampton Inn & Suites in Boise/Meridian, ID (80 rooms). The brand also broke ground on a 105-room Hampton Inn in West Palm Beach-Central/ARPT, FL, and a 77-room Hampton Inn & Suites in Louisville-East, KY.
