ST. LOUIS—A 92-room Hampton Inn will be the second tenant to join the new 100-acre Cotton Ridge Development in Sikeston, MO. The development is located at the intersection of Highways 61 and 60.

“The Cotton Ridge Development offers endless possibilities, and we are extremely excited to welcome the Hampton Inn at this early stage,” said Mike Bohannon, managing partner of the Cotton Ridge Development. “Its proximity to Interstate 55, along with its adjacent location to the area’s Walmart, will entice a variety of shops and restaurants to consider becoming a part of this development.”

The hotel management group Midas Hospitality, which is based here, is set to develop the 60,000-sq.-ft. hotel located at 1240 Commerce Dr. The Hampton Inn’s groundbreaking will take place this December, and the hotel is scheduled to be completed by late 2017. The $10-million hotel will sit on 2.75 acres and feature such amenities as an indoor pool, meeting room and fitness center.

The Cotton Ridge Development currently has one tenant, Malco Theatres, an eight-movie screen cinema that holds 1,000 patrons.
