MCLEAN, VA—Hampton Hotels has opened its 2,000th hotel, the Hampton Inn & Suites Bellevue Downtown-Seattle. The 128-room hotel, owned by Palmetto Hospitality and managed by OTO Development, will mark the occasion with a special opening celebration on Dec. 11.

“We’re thrilled to reach this important milestone of 2,000 hotels worldwide, representing how far Hampton has come over the course of 30 years and setting the stage for an even more impressive year ahead,” stated Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton brand management, Hilton Worldwide. “Following this exciting opening in Bellevue, which has become a major tech and business hub, we are continuing the momentum into 2015 and beyond with nearly 400 hotels and 40,000 rooms in the pipeline globally.”

The five-story Hampton Inn & Suites Bellevue Downtown-Seattle is 20 minutes from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Nearby destinations include Lake Washington, nature trails, public parks and beaches, as well as Maydenbauer Convention Center and businesses such as Microsoft, T-Mobile and Verizon. Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center, business center and complimentary parking.

The opening will be celebrated with an invitation-only cocktail reception. The program will include remarks by Cordell and Jim Holthouser, EVP, global brands, Hilton Worldwide. In honor of the occasion, Hampton is also making a contribution to the local community by providing meals to those in need in collaboration with Food Lifeline, a member of Feeding America network.
