MCLEAN, VA—Hilton Worldwide plans to grow its portfolio of Hampton by Hilton hotels in Poland, with two new properties slated to open in Gdansk and Lublin. The new franchise hotels will join 23 Hilton properties trading or under development throughout the country.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, SVP, development, EMEA, Hilton Worldwide, stated, “The travel and tourism industry is one of the fastest-growing contributors to Poland’s economy, and is forecasted to generate nearly five billion U.S. dollars per year by 2025. Hilton’s focused service portfolio in Central Europe continues to play a key role in attracting international visitors to its historic cities, and the new Hampton by Hilton hotels in Lublin and Gdansk will deliver exceptional, affordable hotel accommodations when they open in 2017.”

Hampton by Hilton Lublin is a 121-room property being developed by Global Property Sp. z.o.o. S.K.A. and will become Hilton’s first in the city when it opens in late 2017. It will be managed by Pro Value Sp. z o.o., an independent commercial real estate consultancy firm delivering professional advice in all property sectors with a focus on hotels.

Offering 100 guestrooms, Hampton by Hilton Gdansk Oliwa will join two existing Hilton Worldwide properties trading in the city when it opens, with a further Hampton by Hilton currently under construction in Gdansk’s main town. The hotel will be housed within a broader mixed-use development that will incorporate office and retail space, and will be delivered by owner Moderna Investment Sp. z.o.o in partnership with Property Partner Investments sp. z o.o. sp.k.
