NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS—Hyatt Hotels Corporation has told Hotel Business that the newly constructed Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar here is nearing completion.
The 707-room hotel is part of The Baha Mar Resort, which will include the Baha Mar Resort & Casino, as well as a Rosewood Hotel and an SLS Lux property. While the finishing touches are being put on the Grand Hyatt, company officials remain unsure when the Baha Mar Resort will open saying only that it will be “as soon as is practicable.”
The resort was originally scheduled to open last December and has undergone a number of delays since that time. Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar will include 85 residences and a 100,000-sq.-ft. Vegas-style casino with ocean views. The property will also offer a 30,000-sq.-ft. spa and more than 40 restaurants, bars and lounges.
