PORTLAND, OR— GBCblue, a provider of secure in-room and lobby personal computing centers for hotels, has been active recently with new installations and strategic partnerships. At the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, IL, GBCblue has begun installing personal computers in 40 of the hotel’s guestrooms. The 1,100-key property already has GBCblue’s computers in its public areas. Meanwhile, the WestCoast Family of Hotels has named GBCblue its preferred provider of in-room and lobby personal computing centers. GBCblue also has formed a strategic technology alliance with Datanamics. This guest-service initiative is designed to provide leisure and business travelers who may not carry laptops with them 24-7 access to lobby and in-room PCs with high-speed Internet access. Datanamics will provide the HSIA infrastructure, as per the agreement. Furthermore, Wiotel, a provider of online guest service solutions, and GBCblue have formed a partnership designed to enhance the value and the revenue of any hotel’s wired and/or wireless HSIA system.
