NEW ORLEANS—On Sept. 12 and 13, hospitality industry professionals gathered together for the 2016 AJG Risk Management Roundtable Meeting, held here at The InterContinental Hotel. Attendees included insurance agents, carriers, lawyers, REITS, hotel operators, hotel owners and management companies.

The goal of the meeting was to bring together risk-management thought leaders from across the country to engage in discussions on a variety of emerging risk topics in the hospitality industry, according to Rich Clark, managing director, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

“We were very pleased to host hoteliers from 20 companies, including owners, developers and management companies, along with our sponsors,” he said. “Experts on current issues such as cyber crime, terrorism, communicable diseases, ADA and employment law made excellent presentations, outlining the problems and providing solutions.”

Clark added, “Gallagher Hospitality plans to continue to address current risk management issues facing the hospitality industry and work quickly to find solutions.”

Event sponsors included Beazley, BMS Cat, Distinguished Specialty, Forensic Analytical Consulting Services, Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell (JMBM), Liberty Mutual, McLaurens, Risk Placement Services, Inc., Reed Smith Law Firm and Rollins Accounting.
