Line ATX
Originally built in 1965, the modernist building that will house Line ATX—due to open in Austin, TX this spring—is undergoing a complete transformation that will feature 428 guestrooms with expansive lake and city views through floor-to-ceiling windows and artwork by seven local artists including Xochi Solis and Matthew Shlian.
Interiors by Los Angeles-based designer Sean Knibb and architecture by Austin’s Michael Hsu Office of Architecture create a distinctive local experience rooted in the natural materials and landscape of central Texas. Knibb was responsible for the design of the first Line property in Los Angeles’ Koreatown. The lobby will also feature a custom installation by Bastrop-based sculptor and artists Michael Wilson.
The property will include 20,000 sq. ft. of indoor/outdoor event spaces. Taking an innovative approach to meetings and events, the Line ATX will offer seasonal a la carte menu options, crafted family style dining and a show kitchen overlooking Congress Ave.
Other amenities include an infinity pool on the edge of Town Lake, serving craft cocktails and poolside fare.
