LONDON—Four Seasons’ founder and dignitaries came together for the Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square’s grand opening. Isadore Sharp, founder and chairman of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, along with Dr. Chanchai Ruayrungruang, chairman of Reignwood Group; Andrew Parmley, the Lord Mayor of the City of London; and Liu Xiaoming, Chinese ambassador to the United Kingdom gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Coming together to mark the final stages of this seven-year project, the attendees gathered on the grand steps of Ten Trinity Square, the former Port of London Authority Headquarters, in a ceremony reminiscent of the original building opening in 1922.
After the ceremony, followed a concert in Seething Lane Gardens by Placido Domingo and a part of the London Symphony Orchestra, and then a dinner reception in the hotel’s UN Ballroom. The UN Ballroom was the setting for the inaugural reception of the United Nationals General Assembly in 1946.
Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square opened its doors in January 2017 and the project has continued to evolve. The next stage includes the launch of Asian restaurant, Mei Ume (opening June 9) to complement its existing restaurants, La Dame de Pic London and the Rotunda. The hotel also plans on introducing nine heritage suites and a presidential suite to follow later this summer.
