VIRGINIA BEACH, VA—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., has opened the Four Points Virginia Beach Oceanfront, the brand’s third hotel in the state of Virginia.

Owned and managed by Surfside Resort, Inc., the recently converted Four Points Virginia Beach Oceanfront features 99 fully renovated and spacious guestrooms with balconies overlooking the ocean or the boardwalk and 5,800 sq. ft. of flexible, state-of-the-art meeting space.

Amenities include an indoor heated pool, a 24-hour fitness center, a business center, free WiFi throughout the hotel and the brand’s Best Brews and BBQ, which features refreshing local beers and seasonal BBQ-style appetizers in the hotel lounge.

Dining options include Jumpin’ Shrimp Oceanfront Bar & Grill, and the property is within close proximity to a variety of restaurants and shops along the boardwalk, as well as area attractions such as the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center and Ocean Breeze Waterpark.

“We are thrilled to expand the Four Points brand to Virginia Beach and look forward to offering travelers the chance to enjoy everything the brand has to offer right at the heart of this dynamic seaside resort community,” said Brian McGuinness, SVP of specialty select brands for Starwood. “Four Points continues to experience phenomenal growth, fueled by rising demand for the popular and stylish brand in markets across the globe.”

“By repositioning our hotel as a Four Points, we expect to attract even more travelers who are well acquainted with the stylish comfort offered by this well-known global brand,” said Varshid Vachhani, president, Surfside Resort, Inc. “The hotel will also help meet the increased demand for high-caliber lodging in Virginia Beach, a leading destination among business and leisure travelers.”

Four Points is on track to expand its portfolio of rooms by nearly 60% in the next five years with new hotels strategically located in nearly every corner of the globe, according to the company.

Hotels expected to open in 2016 include Four Points Juneau, Four Points Little Rock Midtown, Four Points San Diego SeaWorld and Four Points Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port, among others.
