Former Heathman Group Outlines New Focus

PORTLAND, OR The Heathman Group, which changed its name one month ago to North Pacific Management Group, announced two key management appointments this month.

Kevin White, former vice president and CFO has been appointed president, while Brett Wilkerson has been named vice president of hotels.

Wilkerson is in charge of the company s three properties: the Heathman Lodge, Greenwood Inn and the Clarion Hotel. According to Wilkerson, the hotels are located no further than 25 miles apart, allowing him to help administer and execute the company s new focus.

There is a restructuring going on [at North Pacific Management]. Our focus is on the employee because when your employees are happy, they provide good service to the customer. The real issue in the hospitality industry is service and we think some of the bigger companies have forgotten about that. We plan to make customer and employee satisfaction our number one priority, said Wilkerson.

Furthermore, Wilkerson told HOTEL BUSINESS. that North Pacific Management does not intend to add any additional properties to its portfolio at this time. (11/20/00) Kelly Wayne
