ROSEMONT, IL—First Hospitality Group, Inc., is set to manage a new dual-branded hotel set to open in a mixed-use development located in the Illinois Medical District, two miles west of the Chicago Loop.

The hotel, expected to be a Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites, both by Hilton, will celebrate a groundbreaking this fall and is slated to open by early 2018.

The dual-branded hotel, which will be FHG’s third new development in Chicago, will offer a combined total of 240 rooms and will share amenities including a pool, fitness center, third-floor lobby, business center and meeting spaces.

Other components of the mixed-use development will include: office space, ground floor retail, residential space and a plaza fronting the hotel portion. Chicago-based Gateway Partners is developing the property.

“This hotel will complement the mix of uses around the property and the dual-brand component is a strategic opportunity to accommodate varying visitor needs under one roof,” said FHG President and CEO Robert Habeeb.
