ORLANDO, FL? Fairfield Communities and Harrah?s Las Vegas have signed a multi-year cooperative marketing agreement to cross-market Fairfield?s flagship western resort, Fairfield Grand Desert in Las Vegas, and Harrah?s Las Vegas. Under the agreement terms, Fairfield will operate three reception/information centers within Harrah?s Las Vegas to market its 416-condominium-unit Grand Desert Resort. Harrah?s Las Vegas will be designated Fairfield?s ?Preferred Hotel/Casino.? The companies are also planning to develop and promote travel packages that include accommodations at Harrah?s, show tickets, casino chips and other offerings. The companies will take on a variety of joint promotions designed to extend the reach of the relationship beyond Las Vegas in addition to having reciprocal links between their websites. Rewards available to Fairfield owners will include stays at Harrah?s hotels/casinos nationwide. Fairfield resorts and urban sales centers will host ?Harrah?s Casino Nights,? and Harrah?s customer loyalty program will include Fairfield themed offers in its regular nationwide mailings. ?This is an important strategic step for Fairfield,? said Franz Hanning, executive vp/COO for Fairfield. ?We chose Las Vegas as the location for our flagship western U.S. resort because we believe the vacation ownership market in Las Vegas has the potential to be as big as the market in Orlando, which has been very successful for us.? Harrah?s Entertainment operates 18 casinos in the United States. Fairfield Communities provides recreational experiences at 26 locations in 11 states and the Bahamas.
