NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business has been tracking appointments across the industry. Here are some of the recent moves from Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Equities, Benchmark and Donohoe Hospitality Services:

Crestline Hotels & Resorts Appoints EVP/CFO/CIO
Crestline Hotels & Resorts LLC has appointed Edward Hoganson as EVP/CFO/CIO for the company. Hoganson rejoins Crestline from Hospitality Investors Trust Inc. (HIT) where he served as CFO/treasurer. Hoganson has more than 20 years of financial and hospitality industry management experience. In his new position, he leads the business development team, as well as the corporate treasury/finance team as he works closely with the company’s leadership group. He began his career with Deloitte & Touche before joining Marriott International, where he held various finance positions.

Hotel Equities Names SVP of Operations and SVP of Sales and Revenue Generation
Hotel Equities (HE) has promoted Drew Salapka to SVP of operations and Cesar Wurm to SVP of sales and revenue generation. In his new role, Salapka leads the firm’s growing portfolio of owned/managed hotels. Wurm leads HE’s company-wide strategic sales and revenue generation efforts. Both will work closely with HE’s executive team to drive performance and accountability. Both leaders report to Bryan DeCort, Hotel Equities’ EVP. Salapka most recently served as SVP of revenue generation for HE. Wurm joined HE in 2018 as VP of sales and marketing.

Benchmark Appoints VP of Business Development
Benchmark has appointed Mitch Garrett to vice president of business development. Garrett brings a decade and a half of experience in capital markets, hospitality, commercial and residential real estate to the independent hospitality company. He was previously VP of acquisition and development for Trump Hotels, where he led expansion initiatives across the U.S. and the Caribbean.

Donohoe Hospitality Services Makes Promotions
Donohoe Hospitality Services (DHS) has made a series of promotions as it prepares to open hotels in Las Vegas; Baltimore; Portland, ME; Washington, DC; and Reston, VA. Cheryl Haughton was promoted to regional director of operations—full-service and lifestyle hotels after years of achieving brand honors and driving performance in DHS’ extended-stay and focused-service hotels. Michael Golembe was promoted to regional director of operations—focused service and extended-stay hotels. His immediate focus will be to ensure DHS’ existing portfolio finishes the year strong and to help prepare for the opening of the 250-room dual brand Hampton Inn & Suites/Home 2 located adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
