MILWAUKEE—The Marcus Corporation has appointed Michael R. Evans as president of its Marcus Hotels & Resorts division.
Evans has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry with companies such as Marriott International, Inc. and MGM Resorts International.
He most recently served as CEO of Apex Capital Ventures LLC in Las Vegas, a real estate company focused on the development and acquisition of hotels and resorts. His career includes nine years with MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas as COO of MGM Hospitality and as EVP, global development. Prior to that, Evans was in leadership positions for 10 years at Marriott International Inc., including as SVP, international hotel development in London, VP, hotel development Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong, and VP, global asset management in Washington, DC.
