STOCKTON, CA Extended Stay America is aiming to break into the Stockton market with a 40,000-square-foot hotel with 92 units, if approved by the city.

Extended Stay already has 36 hotels in California now, including sites in Sacramento, Fresno, Bakersfield, the Bay Area and Santa Rosa.

Seven more California properties are under construction, and the company now wants to add Stockton to its California network with a three-story hotel at Interstate 5. (9/7/00)
