Egencia Names Sophie Krishnan VP/Global Marketing and Product

BELLEVUE, WA— Egencia, the business travel company of Expedia, Inc. named Sophie Krishnan VP/global marketing and product.

Krishnan previously served as Egencia’s VP/strategy and business development. In her new role, Krishnan will help Egencia continue to advance the company’s worldwide corporate travel services.

“Given Sophie’s deep knowledge of our clients’ needs, technology and the evolution of the corporate travel industry, she is the natural choice for this role,” stated Rob Greyber, president of Egencia. “I am confident that her insightful leadership will be paramount to our success in bringing consumer-inspired business travel solutions to market.”

Krishnan joined Egencia in 2011 and has helped define the company’s business strategy and business development. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in Egencia’s acquisition of VIA Travel, which doubled the size of Egencia’s European business.  She also drove business development to accelerate the company’s growth in expansion markets, according to the company.

Krishnan’s previous positions include serving as a manager at Bain & Co. and senior analyst at Investor AB where she worked extensively in the United States and Europe.
