NEW YORK—Dream Hotel Group has appointed Christian Glauser-Benz as VP of development for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Glauser-Benz brings nearly 15 years of experience in hotel development and portfolio expansion and a global network of relationships with real estate developers, capital groups and private investors to Dream Hotel Group.

Dream Hotel Group—Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, The Chatwal and Unscripted Hotels brands—encompasses three business lines: proprietary brands, hotel management and dining and nightlife. In this role, Glauser-Benz will be responsible for driving the company’s four lifestyle hotel brands into Latin America and the Caribbean markets.

“Christian is a highly skilled and connected individual; his diverse background, business acumen and strategic insight will most certainly help bring Dream Hotel Group into the next phase of its development,” said Dream Hotel Group CEO Jay Stein.

David Kuperberg, chief development officer, Dream Hotel Group, added, “Our pipeline in this part of the world has grown significantly over the last several months, with plans to announce several new deals in the coming months. It is exciting to have someone of Christian’s caliber join the team at such a pivotal moment in our trajectory.”

Dream Hotel Group has secured $1.5 billion in new hotel development with nine hotels opening in new destinations worldwide by 2020, including Dream Hollywood, Unscripted Durham, Dream Oceanami Villas & Spa, Dream Nashville, Dream Dallas, Dream Palm Springs, The Chatwal Maaga Maldives, Dream Gasveli Maldives and Dream Doha. The company plans to sign more than 150 hotels and resorts worldwide across all its brands—Dream, Time, The Chatwal and Unscripted—over the next four years.
