PHOENIX—Best Western International SVP of sales and marketing, Dorothy Dowling, has been named VP of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)’s Allied Leadership Council or ALC.
The ALC’s mission is to represent GBTA’s Allied Members by acting as a voice for the Allied community within GBTA. Additionally, it helps serve as a conduit between Allied members and the GBTA in order to address common interests facing the travel industry.
“Dorothy has been an outstanding contributor to GBTA over the years and speaking for myself and her fellow ALC members, we are very pleased that she’s joined the ALC as Vice President,” stated GBTA President and CEO Donna Kelliher.
In her new volunteer role as VP of the ALC, Dowling will sit on the GBTA Board of Directors in which she will provide input and vote on all issues pertaining to the future direction of GBTA. Dowling and her fellow ALC committee members will also ensure the GBTA Board and Staff are informed and aware of the Allied community’s needs.
“While the role of the ALC is to ensure the GBTA Board and staff are driving strategy based on the needs of their Allied Members, I’m also looking forward to helping with its mission of reinforcing the value of Allied Membership to business travel suppliers,” Dowling said in a statement.
