HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA—The Hollis Halifax-a DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel, has opened here, a first for the brand in this province.
The nine-story hotel is owned and managed by Manga Hotels and is located in of downtown Halifax, one block from the historic Halifax Waterfront.
Formerly the Radisson Suite Hotel Halifax, the property underwent a $7 million renovation.
The hotel has 120 suites, many offering views of Halifax harbour. Each guestroom features a variety of amenities, including a sitting area, 42-inch HDTV, desk with ergonomic chair, wet bar and bathroom with rain shower.
Dining options include Ryan Duffy’s Steak & Seafood Restaurant. The Lobby Lounge offers cocktails and martinis, appetizers and wines.
There is a 24-hour Fitness by Precor workout facility, an indoor swimming pool with whirlpool, a 24-hour business center, and WiFi access throughout the hotel’s public spaces and guestrooms.
Three flexible meeting and event rooms, all with floor-to-ceiling windows, can be used separately for smaller gatherings or combined to create a large, 3,000-sq.-ft. event space.
