GRAND RAPIDS, MI—The DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport has opened following a $2.5-million renovation that includes a complete propertywide transformation.

The 226-room hotel debuts a new open-concept lobby, contemporary guestroom updates, revamped meeting spaces, renovated indoor pool area and a new restaurant concept centered on locally sourced food and beverage menus.

DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport, which converted from the Hilton brand, is owned by AWH Partners and managed by Spire Hospitality.

Located at 4747 28th St. SE, two miles from Gerald R. Ford International Airport and one mile from I-96, the hotel is situated near local destinations and attractions, including the Frederik Meijer Gardens, Woodland Centerpointe Mall, Van Andel Arena and DeVos Place. Nearby businesses include: Amway World Headquarters, Steelcase, Eaton Aerospace, Spectrum Health, Meijer and GE Aviation.

Free shuttle service is available to and from the airport and within a three-mile radius of the property.

In addition to an updated design, the hotel debuts Ganders, an all-day dining restaurant. It offers more than 7,500 sq. ft. of meeting space, including 10 flexible meeting rooms and a ballroom. On-site catering is available.

Complimentary services and amenities include a fitness center with Precor equipment open from 5:30 a.m. to midnight; a 24-hour business center; an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and sauna; and WiFi throughout the hotel’s public areas and guestrooms.

Robert Orr is serving as general manager.
