QUEBEC, CANADA—Marking its entry into the Canadian province of Quebec, DoubleTree by Hilton today opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa located here.

Formerly the Château Cartier, located in the National Capital Region, the hotel presents an updated look and enhanced amenities following an 18-month, $3-million renovation of the guestrooms, public areas and amenities. The hotel is owned and managed by Ken Pierre Investment LPD.

Set within a chateau-style property, the 125-room hotel debuts updated decor and amenities throughout all of the guest rooms, lobby and meeting areas. The hotel includes a private golf course and views of the Champlain Bridge, Parliament Buildings and Peace Tower.

DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa offers over 21,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including 19 meeting rooms and catering and event planning teams. Available for various types of events, a 6,302-sq.-ft. Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 1,200 people theatre-style.

“This hotel’s chateau-style charm and prime location in Canada’s National Capital Region make DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa an exciting addition to our portfolio,” stated John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.
