LONDON—The Dorchester Collection will open its latest hotel, 45 Park Lane, here on September 1.

The luxury hotel, overlooking Hyde Park in Mayfair, will debut Wolfgang Pucks first restaurant in Europe, and is designed by Thierry W. Despont in a contemporary style with art deco influences.

The Park Lane buildings exterior has been transformed by Despont with horizontal metal fins and a vertical wall sculpture, with embedded lighting. Interiors feature cerused mahogany, contrasting with light colors and natural textures, evident in the soft leather doors and suede linings of guestroom wardrobes in colors such as camel and pale aquamarine.

Each of the hotels 45 rooms and suites will feature original art by contemporary British artists, and offer views of Hyde Park. In addition, a 1,830-square-foot Penthouse Suite features two ensuite bedrooms, a dining room, sitting room and a wraparound terrace giving panoramic views across London.
Based in New York, Desponts projects have included the centennial restoration of the Statue of Liberty as associate architect, the design of galleries at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, the Beverly Hills Harry Winston store, and the Ralph Lauren flagship store on Bond Street in London, as well as numerous private residential projects.

Wolfgang Pucks modern American steak restaurant, CUT at 45 Park Lane, will mirror the original CUT Beverly Hills. Bar 45, a library and private media room will be situated on a mezzanine level accessed via a central staircase leading from the lobby lounge.
