ROCHESTER, NY—DelMonte Hotel Group, a hospitality development and management company, has embarked on an expansion to the Midwest.
The DelMonte Hotel Group will be developing and operating the new 145-room AC by Marriott at Interstate 271 and Harvard Rd. in Beachwood, OH. Slated to open in spring 2018, the property is part of the new, 58-acre mixed-use development, which will encompass 400,000 sq. ft. of retail space, 150,000 sq. ft. of offices and 90 apartments.
“We are excited to be expanding our footprint into the Midwest with the development of the first AC by Marriott in the Cleveland area,” said DelMonte. “The AC brand is a perfect fit for the Pinecrest development. We believe that the expectations of travelers have grown to include more than just a clean room and our strategy of building hotels within vibrant, mixed-use communities provides our guests with access to the amenities they are seeking.”
The Ohio development project is the first in the state and continues the expansion strategy by DelMonte Hotel Group across the East and into the Midwest, according to the company. Earlier this year, the company opened the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Airport South-Robinson Mall in Robinson, PA.
DelMonte Hotel Group currently operates 14 hotels with 1,485 rooms in seven cities.
