BARCELONA, SPAIN—InterContinental Hotels Group has opened the Crowne Plaza Barcelona — Fira Center here.
The 276-room hotel, which will operate under a franchise agreement with Hotel Fira S.A.U., is located between the “Plaza de Espana” and Gran Via Avenue. The hotel includes 18 meeting rooms, which have a capacity of up to 1,200 people, executive private areas and a new Club Lounge.
According to Tom Rowntree, VP, brand management upscale and luxury brands, Europe, “we’re delighted to open our first Crowne Plaza in Barcelona, a city frequented by both leisure and business travelers.”
