C+RA To Design New Residence Inn, Courtyard

CINCINNATI Cole & Russell Architects (C+RA), based here, has been hired by Marriott International to design a 198-room Residence Inn and a 203-room Courtyard by Marriott in Elizabeth, NJ.

The two hotels are being constructed on top of a brownfield site, or former landfill that is adjacent to the Jersey Outlets Mall, which opened earlier this year. The mall will provide solid support from the shops and restaurants to the lodging within these hotels, said Bob Mannon, area vp/lodging and development for Marriott International. He said that the hotels currently located in that area are isolated by major thoroughfares.

The new Residence Inn and Courtyard are scheduled to open in the spring of 2002. (8/1/00)
