SEDONA, AZ—The Courtyard by Marriott Sedona is scheduled to open here on Oct. 6. Located at 4105 West State Route 89A, the 121-room hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Sunridge Properties, Inc. of Mesa, AZ.

Courtyard constantly researches trends and evolves to meet the changing needs of its guests, according to the brand. The hotel features a reimagined lobby space as well as Courtyard’s latest contemporary room design.

Guestrooms offer hybrid zones for working, sleeping, relaxing and getting ready. Indirect lighting and a neutral, tone-on-tone color palette are additional design elements.

The property is a short distance from Uptown Sedona offering numerous shops, galleries, restaurants and outdoor activities, as well as the Tlaquepaque Village and 120 different hiking trails.

“From day one, Courtyard has prided itself as a brand that listens to business travelers,” said Callette Nielsen, VP and global brand manager, Courtyard. “Today’s technology has changed how people travel. Our guests want a room that has purpose and flexibility that enables a seamless transition between relaxing and working. Courtyard is designed to offer them a relaxing and functional space to work the way they want to, when they want to.”

Upon arrival, a “Luggage Drop” provides storage for bags and a “Tech Drop” ledge is available for charging personal devices. Signature furniture and architectural elements replace traditional art in the new guestroom. The “LoungeAround” sofa offers a pop of color, while a light desk on wheels enables guests to work from anywhere in the room.

All guestrooms also feature private balconies offering views of the Red Rock Mountains. Each family friendly guestroom includes a large HD television with ENSEO offering Netflix, Hulu, Pandora and other platforms, and in-room microwave, mini refrigerator and Keurig coffeemaker.

Throughout the hotel, guests can connect with ample electrical outlets. The business library features several computer terminals, along with a printer and separate computer stations dedicated solely to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status.

Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool with a whirlpool spa, an outdoor courtyard with two fire pits, a rooftop deck, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a complimentary shuttle and guest laundry. In addition, there is 1,400 sq. ft. of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 90 people, as well as outdoor event space for any gathering.
