REDWOOD CITY, CA—Courtyard by Marriott Redwood City is scheduled to open its doors today. The 177-room hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by OTO Development LLC of Spartanburg, SC.
The new room design enables guests to store bags on the luggage drop and plug personal devices into the tech drop ledge. Signature furniture and architectural elements replace traditional art in the new guestrooms. There is also a light desk on wheels. A shower nook houses shampoos and towels.
Elsewhere, the lobby includes media pods, complimentary WiFi and a variety of seating zones, as well as The Bistro—Eat. Drink. Connect. The business library has several computer terminals, along with a printer and separate computer stations dedicated solely to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status.
Other amenities include a heated, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, guest laundry, as well as 1,226 sq. ft. of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 80 people.
