SUMMERVILLE, SC—Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Summerville opened its doors in the Nexton community here. Located at the intersection of I-26 and Highway 17A, the hotel features an innovative lobby space as well as Courtyard’s latest contemporary room design, according to the company.
Located at 1510 Rose Drive, the hotel offers 93 rooms and three suites and will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Sheep Island Hospitality Partners I, an affiliate of Blanchard & Calhoun Commercial of Augusta, GA. LBA Hospitality will serve as this hotel’s third-party manager. Beau Benton, LBA president, said, “We are thrilled to be a key part of this project. Our General Manager Sean Rowe and his team are fully prepared to help our guests make the most of their stay.”
“From day one, Courtyard has prided itself as a brand that listens to business travelers,” said Janis Milham, SVP, modern essentials and extended-stay brands. “Today’s technology has changed how people travel. Our guests want a room that has purpose and flexibility that enables a seamless transition between relaxing and working.
