LONDON—Plans are under way to open the first Courtyard by Marriott in Bosnia and Herzegovina next year.
The 130-room Courtyard by Marriott Sarajevo is expected to open in mid-2015. It will operate under a franchise agreement with Lake d.o.o. and Interstate Hotels & Resorts. It will be the second Marriott International property in Bosnia and Herzegovina following the expected opening of Residence Inn Sarajevo in early 2015.
Courtyard Sarajevo will feature the brand’s new European design. The hotel will offer guestrooms with clean lines, a Mediterranean color palette and contemporary, locally inspired furnishings. Additional amenities will include multiple, accessible outlets and high-speed Internet.
The lobby will supply free WiFi, seating for working, meeting and socializing and a GoBoard screen that will display news, weather and local information. A 24-hour market and Bistro restaurant will offer meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day. Additionally, a conference room, two meeting rooms and a fitness center will be available.
