CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA—Crestline Hotels & Resorts has completed a major guestroom update and renovation of the Courtyard by Marriott Charlottesville-University of Virginia Medical Center here.

To complement the recent brand refresh of the hotel’s lobby, the hotels 139 guestrooms, suites and hallways have been updated with all new soft goods and furniture. Guestrooms now feature new bedding, carpeting, wall coverings and draperies that include Courtyard’s signature features such as functional work space, spacious bathrooms, a separate seating area and complimentary in-room high-speed Internet. In addition, each guestroom now has a microwave and mini-fridge. The hotel’s double-double rooms have been converted to queen-queen rooms.  Also new, in select king-bedded rooms there is a wet bar feature, and all suites and select king-bedded rooms now include a Keurig coffeemaker with a variety of K-Cup options. Suites also have an iHome clock radio/dock.

The Courtyard Charlottesville is located near the campus of the University of Virginia and within walking distance to the University Medical Center.

For events and meetings there is a choice of three meeting rooms, totaling 1900 sq. ft. of space as well as banquet and catering services.

The lobby welcomes guests with a contrasting color palette including blue, green, orange and red. The traditional front desk is replaced with separate welcome pedestals, designed to create more interactions when guests check in and allow staff to show guests the lobby features and provide assistance. Adaptable seating options range from a communal table, to more private media booths with high-definition televisions, to a more intimate, semi-enclosed lounge area.

Dining has also been completely redesigned with The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect. Starbucks coffee and The Market, a 24/7 shop for snacks, beverages and sundries, are also available.
