MINNEAPOLIS—Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, Washington, DC East-Capitol Heights, MD has opened. Two miles from FedExField, the hotel recently completed a $1.5-million renovation, which includes upgrades to the guestrooms, business center, fitness center, lobby and breakfast area.
The 74-key hotel has a Presidential Suite, which has a separate room and living area with a pullout sofa and dining table. Guests have access to an onsite fitness center, business center, free WiFi and the brand’s signature and complimentary, hot Be Our Guest breakfast served daily on classic dining ware. There is also an 800-sq.-ft. meeting space that can accommodate up to 50 people.
The hotel is also located within two miles of Prince George’s County Regional Medical Center, a state-of-the-art hospital currently under construction.
