NISSWA, MN—Cote Family Companies has appointed Thomas Juliano as CEO. He brings more than 30 years of hospitality and executive leadership experience to his new role, which will include overseeing the operation of Tanque Verde Ranch, Grand View Lodge, Grand View Real Estate and Camps – Camp Lincoln, and Camp Lake Hubert.
“Since my grandfather started Cote Family Companies 100 years ago, our family has taken pride in creating traditional summer camp and multi-generational family vacation destinations that guests have returned to year after year” said Robert Cote, chairman of the Cote Family Companies Board. “With the addition of Thomas Juliano as CEO of the company, we are confident that his impressive and multifaceted hospitality background will lead to an elevated guest experience across our unique range of properties, allowing us to strategically grow our portfolio while maintaining our family brand identity and traditions.”
Juliano started his career with Westin and Marriott, where he developed strong operational knowledge as food & beverage director, rooms director and general manager, before ultimately supervising multiple properties at the executive level. He continued along the executive path in the roles of assistant VP of operations of Aston Hotels & Resorts, regional VP of RockResorts, and VP of lodging of Vail Resorts, where he was responsible for Keystone and Breckenridge Resorts.
Additionally, Juliano spent nearly a decade supervising luxury hotels and resorts in Hawaii as VP of the Kea Lani Hotel (now The Fairmont Kea Lani). Most recently, he worked with SilverWest Hotel Partners as the owner representative and asset manager for their Hawaii and Texas properties.
“While I’ve been in the travel and real estate business for a long time, my new role as CEO of Cote Family Companies is an exciting and special opportunity to oversee operations for both summer camps and resorts, while also driving new development opportunities for the brand,” said Juliano.
