ERIE, PA—Cobblestone Hotels broke ground on a Cobblestone Hotel and Suites here, its second groundbreaking in the state this week.
Cobblestone Hotels broke ground on the Cobblestone Inn and Suites in Ambridge, PA, earlier this week. Both hotels will be constructed by BriMark Builders, LLC.
“Pennsylvania has welcomed us with open arms” stated Brian Wogernese, president of Cobblestone Hotels, LLC. “Our first hotel in Pennsylvania broke ground a little over a year ago, and to have one open and six under construction proves our rapid expansion into the eastern part of the United States.”
“We are very excited to bring high-amenity, upper-midscale, affordably priced lodging to Erie’s Bayfront,” added Tom Kennedy, the developer for the Erie project. “BriMark Builders has done a great job in Corry, and we are looking forward to working with them on the Bayfront project.”
The Cobblestone Hotel and Suites is located at 701 Bayfront Parkway and will feature 54 guestrooms, including whirlpool suites, with amenities such as microwaves and refrigerators, coffee service, free high-speed Internet and flat-panel televisions in each room.
The Cobblestone Hotel and Suites also will feature a beer and wine bar, meeting room, exercise equipment, guest laundry facility, indoor pool and convenience store. A complimentary hot breakfast bar and weekday newspaper will be available daily.
Cobblestone Hotels has 47 hotels open, 13 under construction and more than 50 properties in development, according to the company.
