NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ— Richard Cimilluca has been named director of sales and marketing for The Heldrich, a new $110-million mixed-use property under construction here in downtown New Brunswick. Slated to open in February 2007, the property will include a 250-guestroom hotel and a conference center. It will be managed by Benchmark Hospitality International. Cimilluca will lead the pre-opening and post-opening sales and marketing programming for the new project. He has been appointed to an additional role as regional director of sales and marketing, overseeing programs at Benchmarks North Maple Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. A 20-year veteran of the hotel industry, Cimilluca was previously director of sales and marketing for the North Maple Inn. In other experience, he was director of sales and marketing at the Doral Forrestal Hotel, located in Princeton, NJ, and held sales management positions for Sheraton and Hilton hotels.
