SILVER SPRINGS, MD In early September, on television stations including ESPN, ESPN-2 and ABC, Choice Hotels International will broadcast a new commercial for its Comfort Inns brand. Entitled, Frank and Wife, the commercials feature a couple driving for so long in search of a hotel, that they have been transformed into Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein. After spotting a Comfort Inn, they stay the night and the next day, are transformed back into an ordinary couple. The spot emphasizes Choice s decision to continue differentiation between its Choice Inns and Choice Suites brands. The ad was filmed in Port Hope, Ontario, due to a domestic actors strike.
