Choice Hotels International Appoints Tim Muir as VP/Franchise Development

ROCKVILLE, MD—Choice Hotels International has appointed Tim Muir as VP, franchise development.

Muir will be responsible for the franchise growth of the Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Cambria Suites, Sleep Inn and the Ascend Hotel Collection brands, and will report directly to David Pepper, SVP, global development.

“Welcoming an industry leader of Tim’s caliber to Choice Hotels is a testament to the strength of our brands and proven franchise system,” stated Pepper. “Choice Hotels is capitalizing on the upswing in the lodging industry and current lending environment. I am confident that Tim’s leadership and experience will be an excellent addition to our franchise development organization and look forward to the continued success of our team.”

Muir brings over 25 years of franchise sales and development experience to Choice Hotels, most recently serving as the SVP, franchise sales and development for Wyndham Hotel Group, where he was responsible for all new-construction brands in North America.

Choice Hotels franchises more than 6,300 hotels, representing more than 500,000 rooms, in the United States and more than 35 other countries and territories across the world.
