ANNAPOLIS, MD—Chesapeake Lodging Trust has promoted Nishil Patel to VP and treasurer and Nicholas Jette to VP/acquisitions and asset management.
“We are pleased to announce these two promotions within our organization. Both Nishil and Nick joined Chesapeake shortly after our IPO and have made valuable contributions to the growth and success of the trust,” said James L. Francis, Chesapeake Lodging Trust’s president and CEO.
Patel joined Chesapeake Lodging Trust in 2010 as accounting manager and was subsequently promoted to director/corporate accounting and financial reporting. Previously, he was manager/external reporting at Interstate Hotels & Resorts and a senior audit associate at Grant Thornton LLP. He received his Bachelors of Science in accounting and finance from the University of Maryland and is a CPA.
Jette joined Chesapeake in 2010 as financial analyst and was subsequently promoted to director/acquisitions and asset management. Previously, he worked for LaSalle Hotel Properties in various analytical reporting and financial positions. He received his Bachelor of Science in hospitality administration from Cornell University.
