GREENBELT, MD—Chesapeake Hospitality has been selected manager of three new hotels: Hotel Indigo St. Louis Downtown; the Holiday Inn Washington-College Park hotel in College Park, MD; and the Detroit Airport Marriott hotel.
The Hotel Indigo St. Louis Downtown hotel is an adaptive re-use project that will convert the vacant historic LaSalle Building located at 501 Olive into a hotel—including 86 guestrooms, approximately 5,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and a rooftop bar. Located in the heart of downtown, the hotel is two blocks from the city’s convention center and seven blocks from Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. The hotel is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2017.
The 220-room Holiday Inn Washington-College Park hotel is located off I-95 and the Capital Beltway near to Washington, DC. In close proximity to the hotel is the University of Maryland, the Food & Drug Administration, White Oak and USDA Beltsville Agricultural Research Center. The hotel, which offers 12 meeting rooms, full-service dining and an indoor heated pool, is scheduled to undergo a $6-million renovation.
The 247-room Detroit Metro Airport Marriot offers 12 meeting rooms totaling 9,224 sq. ft. of meeting space, as well as a fitness center, indoor pool, and North—a new room dining experience, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Within close proximity to the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, the hotel is near popular Detroit area attractions including the Henry Ford Museum, IKEA and the University of Michigan.
