NEW YORK- HOTELBUSINESS. has learned that Cendant Corp. is already developing a team dedicated to growing the Amerihost brand, which it recently acquired the rights to franchise. The purchase is not expected to be final until the fourth quarter, leaving Cendant at least 60 days to build the new team. Members assigned to the Amerihost chain will be responsible for furthering its franchise operations into secondary and tertiary markets, as well as marketing, advertising and promoting the brand.
