MINNEAPOLIS—Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has named David Oliver as VP of development for Canada. Oliver will lead the group’s key strategic growth initiatives across all brands and will be responsible for the development of management contracts as well as license agreements in the region. He is based in Toronto and will report to Philip Silberstein, EVP, development, Americas.

Oliver returns to Carlson Rezidor, having previously served on the development team from 2003 to 2009. Oliver has also held development positions with Wyndham Worldwide and Starwood Hotels in Canada.

“David is a passionate industry veteran and we are excited to welcome him back to the team,” said Silberstein. “As one of his key development initiatives, David will focus on the introduction of Radisson RED to Canada.”
