Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Appoints Ashish Chopra Director of Development

MINNEAPOLIS—Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group appointed Ashish “Alex” Chopra as director of development for the U.S. Southwest region. He will report directly to Philip Silberstein, EVP, development, Americas.

Chopra brings more than 16 years of hotel franchise development and contract negotiation experience to Carlson Rezidor, with strong performance in licensing, conversions, new construction and site development, according to the company. Most recently, and for more than a decade, Chopra was at Choice Hotels International. His franchise background also includes development positions with Hilton, Baymont, Ramada, Days Inn and Howard Johnson.

Chopra is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach.
