Carlson Rezidor Appoints New Director of Development for the Northeast U.S.

MINNEAPOLIS—Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has named Mark Sutton as director of midscale development for the Northeast U.S. Sutton is based in Philadelphia and will report to Fred Schwartz, SVP, midscale development, Americas.

Most recently Sutton was VP of business development at Ten-X Commercial. Prior to that, Sutton held director positions with Red Roof Inns, Choice Hotels and Cendant/HFS (Wyndham). 

The Carlson Rezidor Americas development team has added 65 new properties to the pipeline in the past year. Sutton will be focused on growing the Country Inns & Suites By Carlson brand. In addition, he will be working to identify opportunities for Radisson Red, Carlson Rezidor’s newest brand.
