WASHINGTON—PM Hotel Group and The Buccini/Pollin Group have plans to open the 177-room Canopy by Hilton Washington, DC/Bethesda North. Slated to open in the fall, the 177-room hotel will include 23 suites and a couple of three-bay presidential suites that incorporate design cues from the DC metro area.
The hotel will also offer 4,350 sq. ft. of meeting space, complimentary WiFi and a cafe/bar area that will provide a local, artisanal breakfast, ready-made lunches and stocked shelves offering seasonal ingredients.
The hotel will include a bistro signature to the Canopy by Hilton brand that highlights the local cuisine such as soft-shell crabs and half-smokes from Ben’s Chili Bowl. The bar will serve local brewery beers, including Baying Hound Aleworks in Rockville, MD; Denizens Brewing Company in Silver Spring, MD; and Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, MD; as well as DC Brau Brewing Company. Additionally, guests will have access to gluten-free Meringue Rose Cookies from Red Bandana Bakery in Bethesda, MD.
The hotel is a key part of the second phase of Pike & Rose, a new, mixed-use development. The t-shaped, four-block complex features numerous dining, retail and entertainment options.
