NATIONAL REPORT—Hilton’s lifestyle brand, Canopy by Hilton, is charting growth with five new signings under its belt in global locales: Washington D.C. Embassy Row, Paris Trocadero, Bordeaux Chartrons, Portland (Maine) Waterfront, and Venice, Italy. The Venice and Paris openings will be the Italian and French debuts for the Canopy by Hilton brand, and this will be the third Canopy to call the Washington, DC-area home.

With an aggressive pipeline of more than 30 hotels scheduled to open in the next five years, these new signings will join the likes of other Canopy by Hilton’s in Reykjavik, Iceland; Washington, DC’s The Wharf and Bethesda North neighborhoods; Portland Pearl District; Dallas Uptown; Zagreb, Croatia; Atlanta Midtown, and more.

Canopy by Hilton Washington D.C., Embassy Row

Slated to open in later this year, Canopy by Hilton is opening its third Washington, DC property, Canopy by Hilton Washington D.C., Embassy Row. Set 15 minutes from the White House, Embassy Row is situated in the heart of Scott Circle located near the National Mall and the Georgetown neighborhood. Drawing on local elements, design inspiration was pulled from the local monuments and architecture with a contemporary twist. All the art pieces are appointed, yet whimsical with exaggerated proportions and pops of color.

Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero

Slated to open in late 2020, the 123-room Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero is scheduled to be the first Canopy by Hilton to open in France. Located steps outside of the place du Trocadero and Palais de Chaillot in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, a cultural hot spot with several galleries and attractions such as the Palais Galliera and Palais de Tokyo museums, Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero will draw heavily from its local surroundings.

Canopy by Hilton Bordeaux Chartrons

Canopy by Hilton Bordeaux Chartrons is expected to open in early 2021 in the bustling Chartrons neighborhood, overlooking the Garonne River. The new-build hotel will offer multiple dining options, including a rooftop restaurant, bar and pool overlooking the river and Bordeaux’s city Center. The hotel’s design will draw on the area’s history as an industrial hub, made famous by its eponymous wine, which is produced in vineyards around the city.

Canopy by Hilton Portland Waterfront

Slated to open in spring 2021, Canopy by Hilton Portland Waterfront will be located in the heart of Portland, ME’s Old Port Neighborhood. The 135-room hotel will be home to an indoor/outdoor rooftop bar and restaurant overlooking Casco Bay, a first for the New England coastal city. In addition to the first of its kind rooftop bar in the destination, the hotel will offer a street-level restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Canopy by Hilton Venice City Centre

Tentatively slated to open in 2021, Canopy by Hilton Venice City Centre signifies the Italian debut for Hilton’s lifestyle brand. The hotel will be incorporated within the redevelopment of the existing buildings of the Venetian Botanical Gardens, which date back to the 19th century.
