LAS VEGAS—Diamond Resorts International is set to reopen its Cabo Azul Resort & Spa in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, on Sept. 1, following renovations to the resort due to damages from Hurricane Odile last year.

“We have worked very hard to restore Cabo Azul to its world-class status, and we are thrilled that the resort is open to once again provide our members, owners and guests with exceptional experiences that truly help them Stay Vacationed,” said David Palmer, president and CEO of Diamond Resorts International.

The resort features a fitness center, the PAZ Spa and restaurants: Javier’s and Flor de Noche, as well as the café. All the original buildings and villas have been repaired.

Other new enhancements include new furnishings throughout the resort, upgraded door locks and enhanced fitness equipment. Ongoing efforts include the addition of 172 new guest suites and a new member/guest lounge to be completed in November.

As a result of generous donations, The Diamond Resorts International Foundation (DRIF) provided more than $100,000 in disaster relief to Diamond Resorts Cabo Azul Resort team members as well as others in the San Jose del Cabo community following Hurricane Odile.
